With Your Help

National Security Begins

Our nation's infrastructure is vital to the livelihood and continued growth of this country, the protection of these assets which make-up our infrastructure requires a cooperative effort by the private sector, who own and operate the of majority of these assets; and the government, who is charged with the responsibility to assist in the protection and defense of these assets.

  • WHAT IS THE TEXAS COASTAL REGION ADVISORY SYSTEM (TCRAS)? TCRAS is an advisory system that has been developed to assist the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) office to quickly disseminate information to our participating partners that are within our territory. (see map).

Our outreach members are partners with JTTF. These partnerships help us to better respond to threats or other criminal activity by implementing proactive measures to protect our nation's infrastructure and communicating a coordinated response to these incidents as they occur.

  • WHO SHOULD BECOME A PARTNER? Both corporate and government personnel should be a part of this advisory system. The corporate sector's participation is necessary since they are the owners and operators of our nation's infrastructure. Government agencies are also necessary since they act as intelligence collection and dissemination points, as well as the response entity to disasters, criminal activity, or acts of terrorism.

  • WHY BECOME A PARTNER? Communication of potential threat information is vital to an organization's survival and is necessary for a well-coordinated response to any incident. Two ways sharing of information will allow organizations to better analyze potential threats and respond to those threats.
